Accidents due to pothole

The reason which made me write this post is a news which I saw today. "A young techie, Stuthi Pandey, lost her life when her husband rode the bike into a large unavoidable pothole on the road." My sincere condolences to her family.

Around two months back, it was a beautiful Saturday. I and my friends had planned to meet in favorite adda Jaynagar. Day started good. Walk, Chit chat, Lunch, Shopping; It was all fun. Finally it was time to depart in the evening. I and my friend left from there. I was riding the bike. Everything was going so well until my bike reached Dairy circle road. I was riding at around 30 - 40km/hr speed, I couldn't notice a deadly pothole that was right ahead of ME as a car was around 30 feet ahead of us.. It appeared as a surprise and I momentarily blanked out (I know, it's not an ideal time to blank out. But unfortunately, I did). All I did is apply break to reduce speed but as pothole was very near ", I" lost control of my bike and we skid and were lying on road within seconds of me seeing the pothole. I don't know whether to call it luck or FATE, there was very less traffic that day in dairy circle road and the auto driver behind us responded very quickly and stopped. We were left with minor injuries. We escaped somehow. Thanks to fate which saved us.

Three things came to my mind the moment I fell and my head hit the road. FIRST: Some vehicle from behind will run over; SECOND : Whether my friend is safe ;THIRD (And maybe an important one): My dad's words "Don't go in bike, Go in car;Bike isn't safe".

Even now I get flashes of the incident and how narrow escape it turned out to be. It is really scary. What if some vehicle came and ran over? What if only my friend was injured(even if something happens to self, it's fine, but if we become reason of somebody's sadness, that's the deadliest feeling which haunts lifetime)? What if some internal injuries had happened ? All these keep haunting and they are possibilities and thousands are victim to such tragedies.

Doctor who did first aid asked me, do you want to file a case. I asked him whom to blame ? Who is accountable for such incidents ?

Is there a meaning to pay road tax and other fines which traffic police enforce when government is not providing safe roads ? There has to be someone accountable for such accidents.

Dear Leaders/Government, You and your families are provided safe transport but what about a common man ? Put yourself or your dear ones in the place of victim and imagine how it affects a common man's life.

Riding bikes are unsafe, Driving car is headache due to traffic, Going by public transport- thefts and etc.

Over 11,000 people killed by potholes, speed breakers last year . Wake up government.

Bahubali Movie review

The hype behind “The beginning of Bahubali” is not fully justified after watching it. Of course the war sequences, palace sets and waterfalls has come out very well and a big appreciation to the teamwork, but what makes a movie great, is the story and realistic environment in the flow.

Each one has different perspective of watching a movie. What my opinion is story is quite regular. Beginning of movie is not impressive and quite commercial. For me combining logical and illogical facts doesn't work.

Below are few logical errors which stays in mind and lets down the flow.

1. A dry land gets covered with snow after a short distance. Not sure such type of environment exist together in nearby distance.
2. Few unnecessary songs.
3. Unrealistic baby rescue scene.
4. Tribals are more like civilians.
5. Sudeep's acting was anything other than a Sheik.
6. Prabhas's acting is just okaish until the war begins.
7. Not sure how without Binoculars the Queen and others were able to see minute details of war from very far distance.

8. Prabhas turns into spiderman while climbing the mountain more of stunts. War looks realistic but these stunts looks unrealistic.
9. In few places makeup/costumes looked like present day style.
10. Flaws in rope pulling scene
11. Unimaginable costume design by Prabhas scene.

The recent trend of successful movies are high budget movies with brilliant technicians/commercial touch/great cinematographers/amazing graphical work ,even though there are many flaws in the movie or even if it’s a movie with regular stories. It’s making director's job easy with the best technicians, lump some investments and normal stories. Focus has to shift towards areas like story and execution to uplift the standards.

In short my opinion is "a gripping story, realistic approach in few areas, in-depth research on nativity and tweaking the language would have made this movie a masterpiece".  I hope Rajamouli will execute it well in Bahubali, The End.

Videshi Versus Swadeshi

I recently found interest in reading Indian History books and Economic concepts. In the process few thoughts started flowing in my mind. And I thought to express the same with a positive note being a logical Indian.

We often complain that growth in our country is very slow, GDP is less blah blah blah. Often we don't realize or think how  we can help in the growth of our country. Growth of a country is measured in terms of GDP. GDP is calculated on goods and services produced within a country in the span of a year. We can be part of growth in multiple ways if we give a thought about it. We consumers generally get attracted to imported goods for various reasons like quality, durability, brand name etc. As a consumer the thought is right. As a citizen who wants to see growth of the country we can give a thought while purchasing products. Buy and encourage products made in India(Includes native companies and foreign companies based in India). If the native products fulfill the need with acceptable quality, durability we should go for it. When a foreign brand and Indian brand with same features is given as an option many tend to go for foreign brands. That mindset has to change. Indian companies are deficit of huge capital investment. When we start buying more Indian products they will get better financially and in turn the manufacturer can innovate and make their products better in terms of quality, durability and thereby you will be part of creating a brand for Indian goods. When demand for Imported goods decrease more Indian companies come into market and there by competition increases and quality related issues will be addressed. And it has to be the responsibility of native companies to keep up the trust of supporting consumers.
And the reason we should give importance to manufacturing sector is mainly because it creates employment for plenty of people.

In India unskilled labours are more compared to skilled. So manufacturing sector will help solve the need of employing unskilled labourers and help them obtain skills. Majority of the countries which gave importance to Industrial revolution are in good shape in terms of growth :)

We can't say no to all imported goods, but whereever a native option is available we should encourage it.

Karma

You get desire for money. You try to work hard to earn it. You are honest. When its difficult you start looking for shortcuts. You start driving in a illegal path. You earn money. You start enjoying the flavors. Your insight keeps haunting don't do it, it wants to stop the drive, because it knows what you are doing is wrong. But you think of the comfort life. As you move on to escape from getting caught in illegal activities you start joining hands with big fish to create a safer network. Your insight starts dieing slowly, voice of soul starts getting weaker. Now you start moving from comfort zone to lavish zone. You are one among big fish. You will be on top of the world. Your mind is corrupted. You don't even think of good. Good appears bad for you. Money is your god. Those who come to point your illegal activities are villain for you though you are the villain for many people from whom you stole/forcefully obtained their hard earned money. You won't feel guilty of your work cause you are brutally corrupted. You don't value others life. You don't value friendship. You don't value relations. You don't value society. All you value is money. When you don't value others life you destroy whoever tries to take you through good path.

All you do is give shelter to bad people. You raise a hell around you. That is your dynasty.

You might think you have fame and money which is the high value asset. But in reality all you get is a beautifully displayed fake smile from people outside your crooked network. Its not the respect which people give you, its the fear that you might enter to their atmosphere and destroy it. Those who are with you is only because you have Money and their secrets.

You reach a stage where you can't get good even if you want.

Those who are reason for death/sufferings of many honest/innocent people note this. When you die only the crooked people might feel a little sad or they might not even because their source of money(You) is gone. You will be praised with the curses from those whom you put into suffer. Few thank god cause their secrets are burried with you. This is all you earned.

A friend of mine mentioned "People can't escape from Karma". I hope it happens.

To Travel is to take a journey into yourself. ~ Danny Kaye

A person starts cherishing wonderful moments and surroundings in life while travelling. Beauty of nature and place will let one forget their sorrow. Thoughts of getting lost in the beautiful world will be idealized. It inspires a person to wander more towards discovering places that brings lots of positive energy into oneself. In a journey to nature, there won’t be any need for anyone to accompany you during the travel, as nature itself will be with you. This gives you the time to understand your inner self more clearly and closely. I clearly learnt a lot while driven across beautiful places of Karnataka.

Travel Map: Bengaluru -> KudalaSangama -> Aihole -> Badami -> Sirsi -> YaaNa -> Gokarna -> Murudeshwara -> Kollur -> Kodachadri -> Bengaluru.

KudalaSangama: This is the place where river Krishna and Malaprabha merge and flow. Also, the holy Samadhi of Kannada poet, also a well known India Philosopher, Basavanna is here.

Aihole: Chalukya architecture temples make this place even more divine.

Badami: Once upon a time Chalukya’s capital place. Famous for Rock cut cave temples and Red sandstone structure which covers Agastya Lake.

Sirsi, Maarikamba temple: The central attraction is an icon, which is, eight armed image of Durga. The architecture of this temple is unique compared to other south Indian temples.

yaaNa: Bhairaveshwara and Mohini hills will please you with its vast coverage in area and unusual rock formations.

Gokarna and Murudeshwara: One can experience beauty of beach. Shiva temple is famous and has an historical background.

Kollur: Hindu pilgrimage center with thousands of people visiting the Mookambhika temple located here.

Kodachadri: Hill top where land meets sky. It is covered with blanket of clouds. Beautiful mountains and an adventurous trekking place.
